The problem has been the lack of a fundamentally correct structure to organize and manage the business and to organize business change. Conventional methods do not provide a foundation that is not subject to change
As we said in the article, all enterprises have to go back to the drawing board to put in a fundamentally sound foundation that is not subject to change and build on the foundation with long-lasting methods that they can employ for real competitive advantage.
The fundamental flaw of 20th century management is the organization structure laid over the business that prevents business management. 20th century enterprises organize and manage through structures laid over the business. Therefore, business change cannot be change to the actual business, since the business is not organized or managed. Business change is change to the structures overlaid on the business. The first thing the enterprise needs to do is to wipe the drawing board clean of all the conventional structures and definitions in place. The enterprise can then organize the business to utilize capital in performance to produce value in results through one integrated business structure.

It means deploying the solutions to be utilized in performance to the results where value is to be created. It means assigning managers responsible for each result, for each item of capital to be utilized, and for the performance of the capital to produce results.
This provides the foundation needed and one integrated result-performance business structure for organization, strategy, planning, operations, development, reporting, management, and governance.
