Arbitrary organization structures do not organize the business

Current business organization methods are wrong. Arbitrary organization structures are contrived and laid over the business, preventing the business from being managed. The business changes while the organization structure is fixed, causing unsolvable reorganization and change management problems. The organization structure is the fatal error of 20th century management. Once an organization structure is laid over the business, rather than organizing the business, the business can never be managed.

The business organization is capital. It is not a management prerogative or political football. The business organization is professionally maintained for each added or closed result and each deployment of a performance solution. The business organization changes with each business change. Reorganizations and change management problems are eliminated.

Organization units and managers and are responsible for a specific set of results

The organization unit and manager responsible for a specific result are attributes that describe the result. Organization units are defined by the results that the organization is responsible for. Human capital is organized by deployment to manage or produce specific results. A set-result and any module of performance solutions deployed to produce the set of results can be given an organization unit attribute. A subset of the business structure can be inverted to show the results and deployed performance solutions under an individual organization unit or manager responsibility.
